Attend the Town Planning Board meetings

This is VERY important in the fight against this problem. Town officials are very interested in the way a proposal affects the citizens of a town. When the response is great they are encouraged to act in a responsible way to enact the will of the people.

Scrutiny and support of Town officials keeps Saugerties healthy. CARES knows now more than ever, that attendance at these meetings lets our officials know we are serious and can affect change both in the law and in the decisions of the officials themselves.!!!!

Lend a hand

Maybe you have some skills we can use. So far in the short time we have organized, we have located some very creative, and capable neighbors with all kinds of skills. As it works out every one who has contacted us has had a skill we could use some way.We need lots of help. We also need money to keep up with all our legal expenses, so if you are in a position to donate please do. If you have an idea of a fund raising event we are all ears. If you have a talent we could use, let us know.That talent could include, for example, getting people involved, contacting people, carrying flyers, stuffing envelopes etc..
